Information regarding a Trust typically can be obtained from the person named as Trustee — but the Trust document may prevent disclosure of the terms of the Trust if the person making the inquiry is not a named beneficiary.
If a person believes that they are a named beneficiary and the Trustee will not confirm that fact — or if the beneficiary believes that the trustee is not acting within his or her fiduciary duty to strictly abide by the terms of the written Trust document — the beneficiaries can seek court intervention to require the Trustee to comply with the directives of the Trust.
To initiate such a court action, Standard Legal always recommends you consult an attorney; you can find a local attorney for FREE at Standard Legal’s Attorney Find page.
