Should I Submit Bankruptcy Form B8 with No Entries?

A complete Chapter 7 personal Bankruptcy filing includes Form B8, the “Statement of Intention”.

This form tells the Trustee what your plans are for property and contracts in your name: debts secured by property of the estate; and personal property subject to unexpired leases.

If as a filer you have no property or contracts to list in theis form, then in order to avoid confusion it is usually best to submit the Statement of Intentions blank, without listing any debt or account.

Not submitting the form may cause the Trustee to believe that a mistake was made in not filing that particular form. Better to file it blank than to leave it out of the filing.
